Flatbed carries are equipped with winch and cable for loading and off-loading non-running or wrecked vehicles. When broken down car is still runs and drives, some tow truck drivers will drive it onto tilted flatbed deck claiming it is a faster way to load vehicles and saves time.
It is acceptable for the tower to get in to customers vehicle and drive it on to the deck, but only if it’s done in safe controlled environment like calm street, parking lot or driveway.
